Brasilian Sounds and Italian Cocktails

25th of September, we are proud to host two amazing artists coming from Rio de Janeiro:

Guitarist Pedro Barros lets you experience the various genres of brazilian music like samba, choro, forró and bossa-nova with jazz and classical influences from his studies at the conservatory.

Femke Smit (1986) is dutch, but she sings Brazilian music as if she was born there. It may have been a past life, or just a strange coincidence but when she sings Brazilian music she feels at home. During her vocal jazz studies at the Conservatory in Amsterdam Femke learned more about Bossa Nova. She fell in love with it and decided to learn more about the different styles Brazil has to offer. Together Pedro and Femke take you on a trip to Brazil!
